Mandeville Lab

Evolutionary genetics, fish genomics, computational biology

NOTE: Dr. Liz Mandeville moved to Northern Michigan University in fall 2023. Some members of the lab remain at UoG doing the cool projects described here, but prospective new graduate students should inquire about positions at NMU instead of UoG.

The Mandeville Lab studies hybridization, speciation, and genetic structure of natural populations of fish using computational approaches, including high performance computing, hierarchical modeling, simulations, and interactive data visualization. We use genomic and ecological data to better understand evolutionary and ecological interactions between species.

Much of our research has direct applications in fish conservation genomics, and involves collaboration with fisheries management agencies.
